What do you get when you blend a lost plushy, pixel graphics, 2D platforming, and some banging tunes?
Brought to you by music promoter Mr. Suicide Sheep, the free indie puzzle platformer Sheepy: A Short Adventure launched Feb. 6, 2024 to rave player reviews on Steam.

At the time of writing this, Sheepy is sitting at an Overwhelmingly Positive “all time” player review score with a whopping 99% approval rating. Currently one of the highest rated cozy games on Steam, the game has garnered comments like “Why is this free please I want to pay for it” and “The true definition of a hidden gem” on its customer reviews message board.
Sheepy: A Short Adventure clocks in anywhere from 30-60 minutes for a full playthrough. Players take on the role of a lost plushy trying to puzzle platform its way home through a broken and confusingly dark world. Accenting said world is an original soundtrack by Seeking Blue artists Yoe Mase, Hahlweg, and Tal Richards. The focus on score will not be a surprise to those who know Mr. Suicide Sheep’s YouTube channel, which highlights and promotes various songs across a multitude of genres. (I’ve personally been a dedicated follower for years!)
What may surprise players is how much of a complete and engaging experience they will get in a free hour-long game. Sure, you can play it in a sitting, but you’ll feel like your heart has travelled miles and miles trying to help Sheepy get back home. Perfect for a quiet rainy evening, Sheepy: A Short Adventure is not a game to be missed this year.
