I call myself “playfully obsessive” about Stardew Valley but this takes the cake ((complimentary))! Steve Jensen has been painstakingly building the whole of Pelican Town out of LEGO blocks—residents and scattered oddities included—and posting update shots on the Stardew Valley forum since September 2023.
Just recently, Jensen showed off the finished build at BrickCon 2024, a LEGO fan convention, and it’s nothing short of incredible. The model covers everything: from the player’s farm to the community center, the forest and mountains, the bus out of town, the beach and docks, and even Linus’s tent by the mines. He even included the iconic “Stardew Valley” title screen in the background. You can check out a full view of the build or watch a detailed video by Beyond The Brick, which estimates the piece count at a whopping 75,000. Yes, you read that right—75,000 pieces!
I always say that cool builds like this one make me want to upsize so I have a spare LEGO-dedicated room—but in this case I might need a whole second garage! My favorite part is seeing each NPC remade in the image of LEGO, a truly impressive feat that makes it seem like no detail was too small. Marnie holding “the purple shorts” and Alex with/without his shirt on are some of my favorite little touches.
All that hard work paid off—Jensen won the “People’s Choice” award at BrickCon, a well-deserved honor. But perhaps even more exciting for him was when Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley himself, showed up at the convention! Jensen shared a heartwarming photo of the two standing proudly behind the 75,000-piece Lego version of Pelican Town. Now that’s a fan moment to remember!
